She’s only 2-month-old and she’s already great fond of animals. But with such an animal loving family it could not had been other way. Still very young, Grace Warrior, the daughter of Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell, seems to already following in her family’s footsteps.
The beautiful moment was captured at the Australia Zoo. To celebrate her two months anniversary, Bindi and her husband, decided to introduce their daughter to a koala. What came next is a sight to behold. Chandler then shared the lovely snap on social media.
“Two months old,” he wrote. “We have had lots of smiles, the best giggles and we’ve met a koala! We love you, Grace Warrior.”
Born earlier this year, on March 25, Grace was named after her legendary grandfather, the late Steve Irwin. And it looks that she’s already making him proud.
“Grace is named after my great-grandmother and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s,” Bindi explained. “Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad [Steve Irwin] and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. My dad was the first person to create the term ‘Wildlife Warrior,’” Bindi said. “Being a Wildlife Warrior means to stand up and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. We’ve been referring to our daughter as our Baby Wildlife Warrior.”
