In a series of heartwarming pictures, a rescued tigress was captured on camera giving her baby a good wash. The lovely scenes unfolded in the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra, India, and it shows the caring momma cleaning her cub in the river.
The moment was captured on camera by the Mumbai-based amateur photographer, Ninad Sane. The 26-year-old software tester was at the right place at the right time to capture the adorable scene!
As a parent, taking your offsprings for a bath might be the most difficult part of the job. But as it turns out, this also applies to animals as well – at least in this mother tiger’s situation. So, giving her baby a wash seems far more challenging that you might think. Nevertheless, she is not giving up!
The momma has brought her baby in the river for other reasons, the little ones thinks it is play time, so it keeps splashing around while its mother is hardly trying to give it a clean. Amateur photographer, Ninad Sane was around to capture the lovely moment on his camera.
“I had been waiting to see the tiger mother and her cubs for a long time before they eventually emerged going down to the river,” he said. “The mother was in the water with her cub, and it immediately started jumping around and splashing, a lot like a human child would do in the water.”
But just like any other parent, the mother tiger shows a lot of patience, so she let her baby think it’s actually playtime instead of bath time!
The mother had control of it the whole time, even though it just wanted to play. It was really sweet – the mum was very relaxed the entire time,” the 26-year-old photographer said. “She kept cuddling with it and kissed it once she cleaned [the baby tiger].”
