In the name of love he carried for his beloved puppy, this boy gave up to him, only to make sure he is safe. The brave kid left an emotional handwritten letter to explain his burdensome decision!
The puppy, a few weeks old pit bull, was left outside a shelter by his 12-year-old in the city of Michoacan, Mexico. When the staff at the Refugio Xollin arrived at the shelter in the morning, they were surprised to find a box with a puppy inside it and a stuffed animal next to him. Without knowing who may have left him there, they brought the adorable puppy inside. But they soon learned the reason behind the incident.
The cute little pit bull belong to a boy named Andrés. However, he decided to give up on his beloved furry companion and he explained the harsh decision in a heartbreaking letter. It turned out that Andrés’ dad was very aggressive, so to protect his puppy from his father’s bad behavior, he decided to leave him at the shelter.
In this way, Andrés hoped that the innocent soul will eventually find a loving family to adopt him and care for him, just as he deserves. The boy’s powerful words left everyone in tears, at the shelter. More, they decided to share the inspiring story on Facebook.
“Someone left this dog at the door of the shelter, inside a box, with a plush toy and a note,” Refugio Xollin wrote on Facebook. “The note was written by a kid and he explained his dad was always beating the dog and was planning to sell him. So, in such a state of despair, he left the dog here to save him.”
Andrés incredible selfness didn’t go unnoticed and after reading his sad letter, the shelter did everything in their power to find a forever home and a loving family for Rene – how they named the puppy.
Here are Andrés emotional words!
“My name is Andrés and I am 12 years old,” the note originally written in Spanish, reads. “My mom and I decided to leave my dog in your hands, hiding it from my dad because he is thinking about selling him. But he mistreats and kicks him. One day he kicked him so hard that he hurt his tail. I hope you can help and take care of him. I left him a stuffed animal so he won’t forget me.”
Rene will be shelter by a good family until someone will eventually adopt him. However, judging by the massive amount of requests the shelter received in the first days, it won’t take too long until he’ll met his new parents. More than 300 adoption requests have been filled in the first days since the story have been shared online.
