The dogs must’ve been having a “ruff” day!
Police officers showed up to a home in Lakeville, Minnesota, after sixteen calls to 911 in less than a hour from that location. But only to find out there were two dogs who desperately called the authorities. The dogs were home alone while their owners were away at work. However they must’ve been having a “ruff” day!
The officers were sent to investigate, after all that was heard on the other end of the line was barking. Since no one was home, the cops were confused. So officer Michelle Roberts got in contact with the owners. In this way they were able to step in through the garage.
After “investigation” it turned out there was a cell phone left in the office. From it, the dogs were able to call 911 just by pawing at the screen since it was set to “emergency call only.”
“Our assumption is the dogs were having a rough day and it was the dogs that were seeking assistance through 911,” Officer Roberts joked.
After the incident, the owner said he will never leave his phone out and unattended again!
