Ingredients:
- 3 cups Rice Krispies cerealLog in or sign up to view
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chipsLog in or sign up to view
- ½ cup peanut butter (optional)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chocolate Mixture:
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate chips together, stirring until smooth.
- If using peanut butter, add it to the mixture and stir until well combined.
- Combine with Rice Krispies:
- In a large bowl, add the Rice Krispies cereal.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal, stirring gently to coat evenly.
- Form the Balls:
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly until it’s comfortable to handle.
- With clean hands, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the formed balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Set and Serve:
- Refrigerate the balls for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.
- Once set, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
