We all know cats are fiercely independent and they have that ability to convince everyone, but this lovely kitty was more persuasive than anyone would ever thought. Meet Oreo – an adorable cat who won everyone’s heart at a nursing home.
It all started when the black and white furry ball showed up outside St. Augustine Health Ministries in Cleveland, Ohio. Driven by curiosity or maybe falling in love with the employees, since that day Oreo just kept coming there. Until she decided she works there, too. “She’s like the family here,” Carmen Delgado, receptionist at the nursing home told Cleveland.com. “She helps the residents, she helps the employees, and we just love her.”
Everyone at the nursing home soon found out, the cat’s presence brings such a good spirit. Now, they’re all in love with her. “Most of the people we serve here had pets,” Dana Carns, director of advancement, said. “So to have Oreo here, for them to be able to come out and pet the cat and see how the cat is doing… it brings… those feelings of home.”
Oreo’s presence isn’t embraced only by the the facility’s employees, but by the residences as well. Many of them adore to interact with the furry volunteer. “The residents were so excited to have Oreo around,” the director told Bored Panda. “They all love her and seek her out for a snuggle.”
